An effective company mission will embody the business philosophy of the firm, imply the image the firm seeks to project, reflect the firm’s self-concept, relate the technological areas of emphasis, and indicate the firm’s principal product or service areas and the primary customer needs. You will examine company mission, vision, value, and philosophy statements, identify the components of those statements, and evaluate each example’s effectiveness using the strategic management process in a real world context.
