ASSESSING RELEVANT RESEARCH PAPERS
For this assignment, you need to identify 2 variables related to your area
of study (two additional ones to the ones identified in Module 3), then find
at least 3 scholarly articles that used each of the two variables and fill out
the attached table with the information requested. Note: You may end up
with 6 studies, if these variables were not used together in the past.
If you not have constructs/variables identified yet, you may use the
following Web site to find new ones:

Make sure the articles you select use some type of regression or path
analysis or Structural Equation Modeling.
Use the Module 4 SLP (MS Excel) Template and fill out all the information.
You will be asked to describe or state the following for EACH article about
Template – no need to copy them. Please look at both tabs and clarify
instructions in the template.

2. How variable was used (Dependent, Independent, Moderator, Mediator)
3. Definition used in each paper (the same variable may be defined differently

My Hypothesis: The market demand and organizational culture defines innovation and
performance in a company
These three variables could be placed in hypothesis as follows:
H1: Organizational culture has a positive and significant relationship with governance
mechanisms through the mediation of IS intellectual strategic alignment.
To justify this hypothesis, one should consider the idea that corporate that have a
properly instituted organizational culture and one that is well designed to meet all the needs of
the firm internally and in a wholesome manner often succeed and those do not have it fail. This
idea is supported by several authors including Van Dooren and Van de Walle (2016).
H2: Leadership style mediates the positive impact of IT governance mechanisms on
organizational performance.
With regard to leadership styles as a mediating variable, the played is between other
dependent variables such as organizational culture, IT governance mechanisms and others in
determining the level of performance in an organization. If the wrong leadership style is assumed
for various roles and they fail to materialize in the end, it means that regardless of how well the
independent variables are executed, the expected level of success will be achieved (Chen et al.,
2014).
H3: Government policy moderates the positive impact of IT governance mechanisms on
organizational performance.
